How do you report a bug well?
Four lines make a report worth ten of anything shorter:
- Your phone and its Android version.
- The app version, which is on the About screen in Settings.
- What you did, step by step, before it went wrong.
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
What to expect
There is no promised response time. Mail is read; not all of it gets a reply, and a bug report may show up as a fix in the next release rather than as an answer in your inbox.
Why is there no contact form?
A contact form needs a server to post to, and a server would collect what you typed before you decided to send it. An app that refuses the network permission should not have a website that quietly does the collecting instead. Your mail app is the form.
